The p-series extrusion lines are optimised for the production of PP profile pipes, however the extruder and the tools can also handle PE100 instead. We recommend modern PP, as this material offers double the e-modulus and allows to save up to 50 % material compared with the conventional PE.
The winded profile pipes are designed to reach a high ring stiffness with a low material weight. The most economic profile is the typical "omega" profile, which has been invented by bauku in 1956 and has been developed since the early days to the high tech level of today. The smooth inside and profiled outside wall covers all applications for high outside loads but just low inside pressure. The modern PP allows not only to handle sewer or to store aggressive chemicals, it is also perfect for drinking water and food storage.
The extrusion process is highly flexible and just one extrusion line handles all diameters from DN 300 to DN 5000, just by changing the mandrels (steel forms). There is no need for a mass production, the extrusion line for example fabricates a 6 m pipe DN 2000 and just minutes later a 6 m pipe DN 1000. The pipe joints are part of the winding process and a socket and spigot end is able to offer a rubber ring sealing, an extrusion weld sealing or an electro fusion weld sealing.
