High-quality swimming objects (pontoons) can be produced from PROFILEEN®-pipes. The raw material high density polyethylen (HDPE) is lighter than water because its specific weight is 0.96 kg/m³ and therefore already the open pipe causes sufficient buoyancy to swim at the water surface. If the pipe is closed with plates there is a high additional buoyancy which is able to carry heavy loads.

If such pontoons are used for the assembly of ship landing places in the seawater, HDPE offers further advantages. The material is resistant to saltwater and shows no corrosion unlike swimming objects made of steel.

We attach importance to problem solutions suitable for practices also for/at this product. So the pontoons are for example adjustable for the buonyancy. So on the one hand it can be prevented that the swimming objects rise out of the water too much (agitation by breaking of the waves). On the other hand it can be prevented that as a result of superstructures which are installed later the swimming objects are pushed too far into the water (flood).

Different chambers inside of the pontoons allow an exact levelling of water filling or water withdrawal.

The separate chambers prevent a complete flooding also at damage by sea and leakage of the swimming objects, so that there is enough buonyancy to avoid damages on the superstructures.
