The
bauku-SAFE system was designed to come up to the highest safety
requirements e.g. to protect areas with drinking water or
mineral spring and so on. The system makes maintenance much
easier and the safety standard is much higher. The basic part
of the system is a specially designed double wall profile.
The TÜV Nord proved in several tests that Profileen profiles
are able to take high deformations without any crack. Only
if a notch is placed in the surface of the profile a crack
can happen which will always end in the leakage detection
system. Quotation: “…it is certain that every
leakage from the outside or inside will be detected…”
A
continuous hollow system makes it possible to locate a leakage
by measuring the pressure loss. The pipe joint is connected
to the hollow chambers with the help of drilled channels. Larger
diameters need an inside and an outside weld for the spigot
and socket joint. Smaller diameters are equipped with a movable
socket ring.
The
manhole is the central control point and it is essential that
also this structure is integrated in the inspection system.
As a minimum the manhole contains three test couplings (manhole,
pipeline in, pipeline out). The test box is able to correspond
with each single coupling or the couplings can be connected
to one complete system.
The necessary hardware and software for the test are part of
the scope of delivery. There is the choice between a mobile
test unit or the test as a service package from bauku or a stationary
test unit with automatic data transfer to the community or to
bauku.
